When we look back at 2017, God’s faithfulness has been all over it! The Q 99.7 has played an important role once again in our community by helping unite the local body of Christ while introducing Christ to those who don’t yet know him through our 24/7 broadcast of uplifting contemporary Christian music.

Our broadcast carries the message of Hope that we call the Gospel to more than 20,000 people each week! In cars, homes, businesses and streaming on smart phones and laptops, The Q 99.7 is touching lives and is the station that people tune-in to for Hope and Encouragement in the Greater Springfield region. The Q 99.7 is also leading the way in creating moments for the greater body of Christ to gather and worship, pray, serve together and fellowship. Whether it be Ember Nights of Worship or other local faith based events, people from churches all over the region are gathering together proving that we are one body with many different functions.

Our commitment is laser focused on our local area. God has pressed on our hearts to continue to serve the Greater Springfield region well. This goes far beyond the music we play or the DJ’s that are on-air. It’s the deep community involvement that really helps us connect our local region to Jesus Christ.

This year we were able to take our Q Vehicle on the road! We participated in the Ludlow Memorial Day Parade as well as the Fourth of July Parade in East Longmeadow. Many in our community heard about The Q 99.7 for the first time (after more than 10 years onair). This excites us because we know that once they tune-in they will hear the Gospel message! In the summertime, we visited several churches to support their efforts to reach their towns with Vacation Bible School programs. The Q 99.7 also sent our prayer team out to various locations to offer prayer for anyone that needed it. We saw God work in the lives of people as The Q 99.7 ministered to our community in many other ways.

At the beginning of 2017 we received several complaints of radio interference on our signal especially in Northern CT. Listeners that usually were able to receive our signal struggled to hear as a pirate radio station broadcasted on our frequency. The Lord was faithful to show us favor with the FCC which found the illegal broadcast and shut it down restoring all of our listening area once again!

Just like you, we were troubled to hear about the devastation Hurricane Maria caused in the Fall of 2017. We decided to do something! Partnering with local churches and organizations we helped to gather the body of Christ for an evening of prayer for Puerto Rico and all those affected by the tragic events this past Fall. It was a beautiful picture of the united church (several denominations coming together to pray).

The bible says it’s more blessed to give than to receive. We were so happy to be able to give back during our fall fundraiser to help Convoy of Hope in their efforts to bring immediate relief to Puerto Rico which was severely devastated by the hurricane. We partnered with a local business to donate $1,500 worth of emergency supplies!

In November, The Q 99.7 helped rally and motivate our listeners to give back again to help our areas homeless and families in need through the Springfield Rescue Mission. More than $10,000 was raised that month for the Rescue Mission! Praise God!!

Finally, the stories of how God has touched lives through the powerful message of the Good News of Jesus Christ keep coming!! It is always amazing how powerful music is in touching the souls of people. It is all made possible through your partnership with The Q 99.7. Through your faithful prayers and financial support, we are able to continue to minister 24/7. We are so very grateful to Christ Presbyterian Church for your ongoing support!
